Ethnography Essay
My ethnography is on the work place of a hospital in the nurse’s station. I work with them so it should be easy to find out my information.
While I walk through the halls I see different kind of people working as different jobs.
Like doctors clinical manager, resource nurses, nurses, cnas, and unit assistants. Each one has their own way of doing their particular job.
Some have lab coats some wear uniforms from the stores or scrubs and they have thestiscope. They talk about their patients and what are there symptoms are and see how they can help with their situation.
They make sure that there are enough rooms for the patients because they get backups from e.r.

I get all the information for when I go in to work because I get along with everyone so there very open with me.

my personal essay
My personal essay
Imagine if you lost someone very important in a blink off an eye. Someone that raised you and was always there for you.
Well my story is about my dear grandmother who I really cared about by showing her love and gratitude and all the stories we’d share, even though she couldn't be here in the states all the time but by spending winter months in Cape Verde and spring and summer season in United States.
As I mention my grandmother lived half of the year in Cape Verde I always felt that she was here year round. I knew my grandmother since I was born, she was in my life even 1000's of miles away.
My grandmother was a diabetic but she took good care of her condition, since she was a nurse before she retired.
In 2006 she had plans to come back to the states due to my house construction her trip was postponed and that’s when she had a heart attack and died immediately. I feel very sad thinking that if she was here she would not have died and even myself who works in the cardiac unit I can see my grandmother survive based on our competent MD's and technology.
My grandmother left me with good memories, of us walking to through the park while holding hands when I was little and when she brought me to the zoo. We used to watch her soap operas together it made her very happy cause she loved me being around. Because of her I was able to speak criol and eat tradition food and she always told me that Capeverdean food makes you stronger. I pray for her all the time and I really hope to meet her again someday. I miss her and I wished that she would live many years.
